Interface (Front-end) Developer / Full Time Position

Junction Design seeks hard working, motivated, deadline driven individual to develop interactive web application. Applicant should have multiple years experience writing custom (X)HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Expertise writing semantic, modular front end code using HTML5, CSS3, and W3C coding practices a must. Understanding of the concepts of progressive enhancement, future friendly design highly encouraged. Experience with SASS, Bootstrap, any javascript framework(ember, angular) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other developers and managers to develop new features
  • Help in technical problems by providing new ideas to solutions
  • Help in defining user flow
  • Rapid prototyping
  • Debugging/fixing javascript and css issues
  • Writing clean HTML/CSS/javascript code
  • Taking design files and creating the html/css for it

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Level AA accessibility requirements
  • Developed cross-browser + cross-platform web sites
  • Familiar with browser testing and debugging (at least the major three: IE, Chrome, Firefox + mobile Browsers)
  • Able to hand craft HTML/CSS/javascript without the help of frameworks or libraries
  • Experience with Jquery
  • Understands the role of backend
  • Experience with photoshop and saving images for web
  • Basic understanding of PHP + backend development
  • Used some form of Version control (SVN, GIT, CVS, etc..)
  • WordPress responsive custom theme development

Bonus:

  • Java experiences
  • Magento, Concrete 5, Shopify, WooCommerce experience
  • Angular.js/backbone.js/ember.js
  • PHP, ASP.NET knowledge
  • Canvas animation experience
  • Good sense of humor
